there / to there(介词to的省略与保留问题)

How far is it from our city there?

这句是不是这样翻译：我们的城市离那儿有多远？

这里由于 there 是地点副词就在 there 前省略了介词 to，是这样吗？

it可以是人称代词，指代前面提到过的一个地方，也可能是表示时间、距离、温度、天气的非人称代词it。因此 how far is it...中的 it 需要判断是那个 it。

It is far from A to B. it 为表示距离的非人称代词it。用这个 it 造句，则：

How far is it from our city to that place.? 一般不说 to there, 除非 from here to there.

Beijing is far from our city. 用人称代词 it 指代北京，则：

How far is it from our city? it 指的就是那个地方，没有必要再用 there。

我完全同意前面两位老师对句子的改写：

How far is our city from there?

How far is it from our city?

但是，仅就网友的这个句子来说，如果对它进行分析，我觉得句子有错，且改正的办法是在 there 前面加上介词 to：

How far is it from our city to there? (这个to不能省略，否则意思不明确)

虽然我没有在词典上查到 to there 的例句，但我在《朗文多功能英语词典》上查到了这样一个类似的句子：

How near is the station to here? 车站离这里有多近？

“我们的城市离那儿有多远？”应该这样表达：How far is our city from there?或者：How far is it from there to our city?
