英语难句语法错误判断与改正

1. There is a risk that sensible anticipation gets converted into foolish numbers and their validity depends on large, loose assumptions.

2. The strategic planning process will define the changes protected in the scale and the types of activities carried out by the organization.

这两个句子是我在某英语学习网站上看到的，似乎也曾在某学术期刊上发表过，但是个人觉得以上标红处的内容存在语法和逻辑上的错误。请各位老师帮我看看，这两个句子正确吗？又该怎么翻译呢？

我看不出这二个句子有什么错误，无论语法还是逻辑。网友认为有错误，就应该指出你认为错在何处。当你看到一个英美原版读物中的句子觉得不好理解时，不要轻易认为有错误，很有可能是你对某个关键词语的理解出了偏差或者对句子结构理解错误。这两个句子我认为主要是词汇问题。
