standing 是动名词作定语，修饰room，standing room 等于 room for standing。

standing room 作has 的宾语。

standing room only为名词短语。词典例句包括It was standing room only+地点状语，和There was standing room only+地点状语。却没有名词作主语的例句。我在COCA和BNC语料库都找不到名词作主语，后接was/is standing room only的例句。但找到一个The hall had standing room only的例句。

因此，网友的例句中主语为the train, 似乎不可后接was standing room only. 应将was应改为had。或者句型改为it was/there was standing room only on the train.

请认为本句正确的老师提供其它可靠例句证明其正确性。词典、语法书、语料库例句均可。
