可以直接说 months ago 吗

请问各位老师，关于 ago，可以直接说 months ago 吗？

如：Months ago I visited Beijing with my parents.

可以直接说 months ago，还是一定要在 months 前加 several，说成 several months ago？

完全可以说 months ago，其义与 several months ago 相同。如：

We last went to the theatre months ago. 我们上次去看戏是几个月的时候了。（摘自《牛津英语语法要点精讲》）

We should have foreseen this trouble months ago. 我们几个月前就早应预料到会有这样的麻烦。（《朗文多功能分类词典》）

类似的用法还有 days ago, weeks ago, years ago 等。

解答如下：

完全可以啊！months ago=several months ago=a few months ago= a couple of months ago

“你为什么12个月前不任命罗恩呢？”——“问得好。”

备注：还可以在months ago前面加上基数词

The self-confessed drug addict was arrested 13 months ago.

那个自己坦白的瘾君子在13个月前被逮捕。

Six months ago she would have laughed at the idea.

要是在6个月前，她会对这个想法嗤之以鼻。
