泛指四季，可以说 spring 或 the spring 表示春天，可以说 summer 或 the summer表示夏天等。两种说法没有什么区别。

    Rome is lovely in (the) spring.罗马春天漂亮极了。

    I like (the) winter best.我最喜欢冬天。

    如果特指某个春天、夏天等，多用the。

    I worked very hard in the summer that year.那年夏天我干活儿很努力。

   in a summer 的意思是“用了一个夏天的时间”。例如：He wrote the book  in a summer.他用了一个夏天的时间写成这本书。

表泛指的季节名词前有介词in时，用不用冠词均可，但如果用during, (all) through, throughout, over等介词时，通常要加冠词。如：

▲ 如果语境是特指某一年（今年或当年等等），即便是介词in也要加冠词。比较：
