A window on the wall or a window in the wall?
Which is correct on earth? Please help me. Thank you!
If we don't take into account the uses of a window, I think both phrases are right. What's more, you haven't given a specific context.
A window on the wall means a window that is hanging on the wall. If a window is hanging on the wall, it is useless and we can't see throught it.
A window in the wall means a window that is set in the wall.
If a window is inlaid in the wall, we are able to see throught it, as well as enjoy natural lighting and ventilation.
