1. all (the) year是名词性短语，除了作时间状语外，还可以作句子的主语或宾语。如果作了主语或宾语，那么，all (the) year 就不能转换为：throughout the year 或during the whole year。例如：

She spent all day yesterday tramping the streets, gathering evidence. 她昨天一整天都在街上四处奔走，搜集证据。

【注意】这里的all day 不等于throughout the day或during the whole day
