这句话中的a bottle用正常的疑问句结构是无法提问的，但可以用echo question提问：

Tom is drinking a what of orange?

echo question不同于正常的疑问句，它可以对句中几乎任何成分发问，例如：

He was enthusing about the film. 提问：He was whatting about the film?

They gave it to Angela Cooke. 提问：They gave it to Angela who?

如果将此题理解为对喝的量进行提问，那么用How much orange juice is he drinking提问是合理的。
