关系代词which在定语从句中可以作定语吗（前面没有介词时）

关系代词which在定语从句中通常用作主语或宾语，有时也用作定语，但前面通常有介词。如：

He won’t want to eat it unless he’s really hungry, in which case he’ll eat almost anything. 除非很饿，否则他不会吃东西，一旦饿了他几乎什么都吃。

She may have missed the train, in which case she won’t arrive for another hour. 她可能没赶上火车，要是那样的话她还要过一个小时才能到。

根据柯林斯英语语法系列的《限定词及数量词》：在一些古老的文本里，可发现不带介词、修饰句子的which用作限定词的情况。但这种用法在现代英语中极为罕见。如：

He then resolved to leave, which decision pleased me greatly. 他那时决定离开，这个决定令我异常高兴。

并列句的第二分句中如果有指示代词this/that指代主句的内容或部分内容，并作名词的定语，就可以去掉and/but, 将指示代词改为关系代词which并移至句首。我将陈老师的例句改回并列句，你再变回去就熟悉这种用法了。

We told him to consult the doctor, and he took this advice.

He is studying economics, and this knowledge is very important today.

He believes in public ownership, but I'm quite opposed to this idea.

He advised me to hide behind the door, and I took that advice at once.
