（2）What is the price of the Oxford dictionary? （正确）

（3）How much is the Oxford dictionary? （正确）

第三句小学时就学过，How much is it？，而这个句型也可以转换为第二句What is the price of...？。回答时说出价格就可以。从这里可以看出，how much is的意思相当于what is the price of。

第一句之所以错，在于How much is the price把上面两种句型给杂糅。How much is the price，可以理解为“这个价格的价格是多少”的意思，现实中没有人这么问。

【错误】How much is the price of the Oxford dictionary?

【例句】What's the price of the green dress? 这件绿色连衣裙多少钱？（摘自《牛津英语用法指南》第三版468节）How much are the tickets? 这些票多少钱？（摘自《朗文高级英语应试词典》）

【说明】the price of ... 作主语时，不能用How much而要用what作表语。
