the same…as还是the same…where

Put the book back in the same place ______ you found it.

He wants to go to the same hotel ______ he stayed the year before.

A. where B. as

请问如何选，是用哪个句型？是the same…as还是the same…where？

as引导定语从句时仍然保持比较的意义“和。。。一样”。而以上两个句子都没有这样的比较意义。因此应该都用where引导定语从句且在从句中作状语。
