可以说wear sth to school吗

在一篇书面表达范文中看到这样一句：

The teacher won’t let the students wear such clothes to school. 老师不让学生穿那样的衣服上学。

我怀疑这个句子有问题：我们可以说 take sth to school, bring sth to school 等，难道也可以说 wear sth to school 吗？请专家老师指点！谢谢！

wear 表“穿……；戴……”，to school 表“上学”，wear...to... 并不是什么固定搭配。这与 take...to... 或 bring...to... 表“将……带到……”不一样。又如：

I'll wear earrings to the party. 我要戴耳环去参加舞会。（外研社《英汉多功能词典》P.1689）

2014年5月第1版《朗文当代高级英语辞典》第5版（英英英汉双解）wear 词条指出：wear sth to a party / a dance / an interview etc.

I'm wearing a scarlet dress to the party. 我准备穿一件大红色连衣裙去参加聚会。

所以，The teacher won’t let the students wear such clothes to school. 是正确的。
