进行体表示一个会结束而未结束的情景。后面的一个个事件都发生在做饭和同时要操心孩子的过程中，就是说做饭和操心孩子都是没结束的，必须用进行体。其后的事件都是发生并结束的，必须用一般体。作者让你想象这样的情景，后面的叙述就类似于电影剧本。所以用一般现在时描述。
