as…as 结构可以 about 的修饰，其意为“大约”“差不多”。又如：

She’s about as tall as her brother. 她差不多和她哥哥一样高。

She’s about as beautiful as her sister. 她和她姐姐差不多一样漂亮。

另外，as…as结构还可以受以下词语的修饰nearly, almost, just, exactly, half, quite, twice, three times等。

Father’s flat in Paris wasn’t nearly as grand as this. 爸爸在法国的公寓远不如这处宽敞。

He’s just as strong as ever. 他还是那么结实。

He was almost as tall as Pete, but skinnier. 他和皮特差不多高，但更瘦。

I earn half as much as you do. 我只赚你的一半钱。

This rope is twice as long as that one. 这根绳子比那根长一倍。

It took three times as long as I had expected. 这件事比我预料的多花了两倍的时间。

但是注意，这些修饰语都只能放在as…as 结构之前 (而不能置于其中或其后)。
