刚刚在知乎上看到一个答主说：英语的「It is + 动词被动 + that 」的句型表达的意思都是主动的。

【答】这个说法本身就模糊不清。主动或被动，是针对哪个主语而言的。现举例说明：It is reported that he has gone to America.

1. 如果针对主语从句that he has gone to America 而言，谓语动词就是“被动”的，因为整个从句是“被报道”的。

2. 如果针对从句的主语he 而言，则是“主动”的，因为has gone 是主动的，是he发出的动作。

如果把这个句型换成“以that从句的主语为主句主语”的被动句，即：

It is believed that he has passed the exam.

→He is believed to have passed the exam.

那么，表达的意思是不是由主动变为被动呢？

【答】He is believed to have passed the exam.—— 似乎应该这样表述：谓语动词是“被动”的，不定式是“主动”的。

“他被认为已通过了考试。”
