如果句子没有抄错的话，没有and就很难将后面的that从句视为宾语从句。在这一点上我和刘老师看法相同。那么that是什么从句呢？可以认为是结果状语从句。“因此会。。。”。逻辑也符合结果意义。没有并列标志。就目前的句子看，that从句解释为结果状语更好。

我觉得这是口语表达的一种省略，其实和结果状语没关系，只是说话人进一步解释而已。that前省略了and he thought。
