intend, be going to, be thinking of, mean

(3)在口语中,一般不用intend to,而用be going to或be thinking of的形式来表达。

(1)design指为达到某种特定的目的而周密地、精心地“计划,筹划”,它偏重于计划的目的性、周密性和细致性;

I intended to write to you, but I didn't get time to do so.

We are planning to buy a refrigerator.

intend mean

(1)intend:intend

(2)mean:mean

she is not meant for a pianist:她天生就不是钢琴家(的材料)。

she is not intended for a pianist:不想让她当钢琴家。
