对于网友的这个句子，我与前面两位老师的理解稍有不同！

▲首先，若仅从语法上看，我觉得下面两句都对：

(1) I learnt to make pots to keep my food in.

(2) I learnt to make pots to keep in my food.

但这两句意思有不同：

(1) I learnt to make pots to keep my food in. 本句中的不定式 to keep my food in 可理解为定语，修饰 pots，这里的 in 是介词，不是副词，in 的逻辑宾语是 pots。又如下面各句句末的 in 也是介词，不是副词：

We dug a deep hole to bury the animals in. 我们挖了一个深坑埋葬这些动物。(in 是介词，其逻辑宾语是 hole)

We built a primitive shelter to sleep in. 我们建了一个简陋的临时房屋睡在里面。(in 是介词，其逻辑宾语是 shelter）

(2) I learnt to make pots to keep in my food. 本句中的不定式to keep in my food 可理解为目的状语，意思是“为了隐藏我的食物”(keep in=隐藏)。句意：为了隐藏我的食物，我做了一些罐子。

▲另外，刘老师后面归纳很好，可以帮助网友延伸理解，以点带面进行学习，比如可以说 find the man out，但不能说 find out the man。但对于后面说的可以说 let the stranger in（让陌生人进来），而不可说 let in the stranger，我有不同看法，我觉得说 let the stranger in 和let in the stranger 都可以，且意思一样（如果宾语是代词，则只能说 let him in, let her in, let me in 等）。如：

1. keep my food in： “把食物保存在容器中”，in 作宾补。

2. keep in my food：此说法不成立。

【注意】在keep ... in中，keep是及物动词，in是副词作宾补，其位置应固定放在宾语之后，原则上不能放在宾语之前。

当然，特殊情况例外，如：push open the door，把门推开。open是结果作宾补，为了强调而提前，当然也可说：push the door open。

类似keep ... in 的结构还有：

find the man out：发现那人不在家

不可说：find out the man

......

我学会了制作盆盆罐罐，用来保存食物。

准确的说，这两种表达没什么区别，但是一般来说，keep in在储存、藏放这个意思的时候，比较习惯把名词放中间，如：Jone likes to keep some good wine in。而把代词放后面的话，会造成歧义，因为keep in还有其他的意思
