主句用来现在进行时态，只说明主语现在情况，与其它情况无关。

建议不提倡那样使用，since +时间点，引导时间状语从句，是说明主句从过去某一时间到现在的情况。通常使用，现在完成时或者现在完成进行时态。

I am learning English since I saw you a year ago.(这句话指描述了，只从1年前见到你之后，现在目前主语的状态或者主语目前解答正在做某事，其它过去时间具体在作什么，没有提起。）
