特别注意以下几点

当直接宾语不是由that从句充当时，也可以直接接wh-从句充当直接宾语，此时不需要“表示人的名词”做间接宾语，但是如果是that从句作直接宾语，则必须加上“表示人的名词”作间接宾语。

(1)主语+tell +疑问词+to do

The recipe tells how to make maple syrup dumplings.   
这个制法讲如何做枫糖点心。

(2)主语+tell +wh-宾语从句

No one could tell exactly what was going to happen.   
谁也不能猜出到底会发生什么情况。
