有两个问题向老师请教！

1. As time goes by 是否等于 with time going by（随着）？

As time goes by =with time going by 可以这样改写，但是结构不同

还可以这样改写：as time goes by=with the elapse of the time

2. As he grows up 是否等于 with him growing up 还是 with his growing up，或者 with his growth？

As he grows up =with his growing up 可以这样改写，但是结构不同

还可以这样改写As he grows up=with the growth of his age

(1)with 随着，跟着(…的变化而变化) 

A:with +名词/代词，表示随着....在句中作方式/让步状语

Times change and we must change with them.   
时代变了,我们也要跟着变。

The risk of developing heart disease increases with the number of cigarettes smoked..

吸食香烟的数量越多，患心脏病的风险就越大。

Blood pressure decreases with exercise.  

血压随着锻炼而降低。

With all his abilities, he failed completely.  

尽管很有能力,他还是一败涂地了。

B：with +名词/代词+分词（即现在分词/过去分词）作伴随状语/原因状语

(1)with + 名词/代词 +V-ing

With the little boy leading the way, we found the house easily.  

因为有小男孩带路，我们很容易就找到了那个房子。

With nobody watching TV, I switched off it.  

由于没人看电视，我就把电视关了。

She walked back to the bus stop, with him following her.   
她走回到公共汽车站,他跟在她的后面。

(备注：现在分词表示主动动作，即分词所表示的动作是由with后的宾语发出来的。）

(2)with + 名词/代词 +V-ed

 With all the things bought, she went home happily.  

所有的东西都买到了，她高兴地回家了。

She lay in bed with her eyes closed.  

她躺在床上,闭着双眼

He sat on the chair with his eyes closed.

他坐在椅子上,眼睛闭着

(备注：过去分词表示被动，即with后面的宾语与该过去分词所表示的动词之间构成被动关系。)

(2)as作为连词表示两个逐渐发生变化动作用来引导时间状语从句, 表达的事件，往往只是主句动作发生的背景或条件时，as 只是一个次要的时间说明，因此，as 常常翻译成“随着……”之意。 

（主动动作随着主句动作变化而跟着变化）

As the time went on，the weather got worse. 

随着时间的推移，气候更加糟糕。
The atmosphere gets thinner and thinner as the height increases. 

随着高度的增加，大气越来越稀薄。
As years go by，China is getting stronger and richer. 

随着时间一年一年过去，中国变得越来越富强了。
