the butcher’s与the butcher’s shop的对错问题

A: Where’s Jenny? 詹妮在哪儿?

B: She’s gone to the butcher’s. 她去肉店了。

这里用the butcher’s 表示“肉店”肯定是对的！请问它后面是省略了 shop 吧？那这个shop是习惯上要省略呢？还是可以省略也可以不省略呢？——换句话说，不省略算错吗？

He worked in a butcher’s (shop). 他在肉铺工作。

He owns the butcher’s (shop) in the main street. 他在大街上开了一家肉铺。

She used to get meat cheap at the butcher’s (shop). 以前她在肉店常能买到便宜的肉。

the butcher's (shop)属于可以省略，也可以不省略，两者都是正确的。

Mother went to the butcher's yesterday.

妈妈昨天去了肉店.

There was a butcher's shop alongside the theatre.

剧院旁边有一家肉店.

名词's=名词's+（店铺）=2种方式都正确，省略形式更正式些。

My father and I will have dinner at the Johnson's .

我爸爸和我将要去约翰逊的家吃晚饭。

We will have our hair cut at the barber's

我们将在理发店理发。

I met her at the doctor's(office).

我在诊所遇见了她。

He has gone to the tailor's(shop).
