Stop acting like a spoilt child. 不要表现得像个被宠坏的孩子一样。
His old teacher greeted him like a long-lost brother. 以前的老师和他见面时就像失散多年的兄弟一样。
He was so tired after all his exertions, he slept like a baby. 一番辛苦后他累极了，睡得像个婴儿。
但是下面一句 like a shot 用来修饰was through，这样合适吗？
Jim had left the door open—she seized her chance and was through it like a shot. 吉姆没关门，她抓住这个机会嗖的就蹿了进去。
