@English Expert: 您的解答有两点不好理解：
1. 主语 the disaster 是单数，为什么谓语用复数 have survived 呢？
2. 如果 the disaster 作主语，句子意思不通啊！因为我们不能说“灾难”幸存下来吧！
另外，您最后一句中的 disater 写错了，应该是 disaster。
In the region of 30 countries have survived the disaster.
主语：In the region of 30 countries（大约30多个国家）
谓语：have survived（幸免于）
宾语：the disater（这次灾难）
中文：大约30个国家在灾难中幸免于难.
(介词短语in the region of相当于副词”about“和”around“ 意思为“大约”）
主语+survive +disaster=经历（灾难）之后还存在/幸存
(in the region of +数词 +名词表示“大约....某物）
It costs in the region of $500.
它大约值500美元。
