因为 no = not a 或 not any，所以 no 后面的名词是不能再用 a 或 any 修饰的。如：

There were no windows to admit air. 没有窗子可使空气流入。

I make no apology to him for what I said. 我没有因说了些什么而向他道歉。

There was still no word from John. 还是没有约翰的消息。

So far there’s been no word from them. 至今没有他们的消息

We’ve had no word from Colin as yet. 我们到现在为止也没得到科林的任何消息。
