▲first impression可视一个整体，意思是“第一印象”“初步印象”。这里的 first impressions 其实是用复数名词表泛指，其前不再用定冠词。又如：

First impressions count for a lot. 第一印象很重要。

First impressions can be wrong. 第一印象有时可能是错的。

First impressions are often misleading. 第一印象常常会使人上当。

She looks as if butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth, but don’t be fooled by first impressions!  她看起来好像很天真，可是不要被第一印象所迷惑。

▲若指某一次的第一印象，其前可用不定冠词。如：

It is said that body language accounts for 55 per cent of a first impression while what you say just 7 per cent. 据说身体语言占第一印象的55%, 而你说的话只占7%。

First impressions are the most lasting. After all, you never get a second chance to make a first impression. 第一印象是最持久的。毕竟你永远不可能有第二次机会再给别人留下第一印象。

▲如果要表示“某人的”第一印象，可在其前可用物主代词或所有格。如：
