sort,kind,type 的区别
a sort of / of a sort 可以解释为“有点是又不完全是”，带有一定的贬义，这是正确的吗？当表示复数名词时，一般不用 these / those kind / sort of…，而应该用名词(复数)+of this / that kind / sort。例如：
Pencil-boxes of this kind / sort sell well. 这种铅笔盒销路很好。
Questions of that kind / sort are very difficult. 那类问题非常难。

《薄冰英语惯用法词典》（p.453）指出：
these (或 those) kind of books (或 cars) 的说法在英国书面语中使用已由来已久，今天许多受过教育的人仍使用这一结构，它可视为标准英语。在当代美国英语中，这一说法也见于书面语中，并表明正被美语书面语所接受。但是因其数上不一致（复数指示代词修饰单数 kind），语法学家们主张在正式的书面语中应避免使用。可以改为另外说法：that kind of books, books of this kind, these (或 those) kinds of books (尤见于美国英语), books (或 cars) like that 等。
