    2. 根据《牛津英语用法指南》第三版，no one (在英国英语中也可以写成 no-one)只能表示“没有人”（= nobody），不能表示事物，后面也不能接 of 短语。例如：No one wished me a happy birthday. 没有人祝我生日快乐。（不能说：No one of my friends ...）/ Not one of my shirts is clean. 我的衬衫没有一件是干净的。(不能说：No one of my shirts ...）

    3. 赵振才教授认为，no one of 后面可以接表示人或事物的词语，即：当 no one 之后接 of 短语时，既可以指人，也可以指物”。例如：No one of you could lift it.（摘自英国1974年和1988年出版的 Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary of Current English by A. S. Hornby,et al）你们之中没有一个人能把它提起来。/ I read three books on this subject, no one of which was helpful.关于这个课题我读过三本书，可是没有一本是有用的。

    4.nothing可以作不定代词，只有单数形式，意思是“没什么；无事”，不能表示人；也可以作可数名词或不可数名词，意思是“没有用的东西”（人或物）。
