这个强调句可用when吗？

It was about seven or eight days ago ________ we heard the news that he had gone to London.

这是一个强调句，空格处填that肯定是对的，我的猜想是：由于被强调的是时间，请问这里除了填that外，也可填when吗？

黎老师说得对，在 It is / was ... that...强调句中，即使被强调的是时间，也不能把 that 改为 when。比如下面这道高考题，尽管被强调的是时间，但答案只能选B，不能选A：

It was 80 years before Christopher Columbus crossed the Atlantic ___B___ Zheng He sailed to East Africa. (2012重庆卷)

A. when B. that C. after D. since
