可以说not five minutes ago吗？

请问not可以否定带ago的时间状语吗？比如：

He was here not five minutes ago.

I saw him not five minutes ago.

He was wide awake not five minutes ago.

类似地，英语可以说not ten years ago, not six months ago, not three days ago吗？

英语完全可以说 not five minutes ago，意思是“不到五分钟之前”。又如：

She phoned me not five minutes ago.

I was talking on the phone to him not five minutes ago.

类似地，还可以说not five meters away, not five meters from。如：

the brakes went on not ten feet from him. 在离他连10英尺都不到的地方才把车刹住。

a large crowd not ten yards away waiting for a bus. 不到10码远的地方有一大群等公共汽车的人
