非限定性定语从句和方式状语从句
老师你好，今天作业中有这样一道单选题The telephone,_____was invented by Alexander Graham Bell.
A.as is known by us B.which we know C.as we know it D.as we know。老师给的答案是C，解释是as we know it是一个方式状语从句，但我不知道为什么其他三个选项是错的或者是不恰当的，请老师解惑，谢谢！

我认为应是非限制性定语从句，答案应是D。另外，横线后最好有个逗号，即：
The telephone, as we all know, was invented by Alexander Graham Bell.
此句也可将 as 从句置于句首：
As we all know, the telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell.
按理说，选 A 也可以，但最好将介词 by 改为 to，即：
The telephone, as is known to us all, was invented by Alexander Graham Bell.
