Bill objected that it would take longer.
Mother objected to his rudeness.
Many local residents have objected to the scheme.
I objected to being treated like a child.
I insisted (that) he was wrong.
He still insisted he wasn’t there at the time.
I insisted that he (should) go.
She insisted that I (should) stay for supper.
He insisted that we (should) accept these gifts.
I insisted on my correctness.
I always insist on wholemeal bread.
Since you insist on it, I will consider the matter again.
The doctor insisted that he (should) take the medicine, but he insisted that he was not ill.
