with a small hole 是表示让步还是原因的状语
好像是小 a 自己编的句子。个人觉得，hole 后要加 in them，构成 with 复合结构状语：Her socks look unique with a small hole in them.至于是让步还是原因状语，有上下文的情况下不会理解错误。目前这个结构，我赞同你的看法。
