stop后面可以接动词原形吗
你误解了。你的句子中的 play 是名词，不是动词。同时，后面的40 minutes不是修饰动词 stop 的，而是修饰名词 play 的，相当于 which lasted 40 minutes...。句意：Rain stopped play 40 minutes into the match. 比赛进行了40分钟后因为下雨而暂停了。
