笔者在一份英语中考复习资料中见到过这样一道单项选择题：
The students should take turns _________ their classroom.
A. to clean B. cleaning C. at cleaning D. in cleaning
命题者认为， A 是参考答案。
实际上，在take turns 的后面既可以接动词不定式，也可以接动名词，还可以接介词at (或者in) 再接动名词。所以，A、B、C、D 都可以作为正确答案。又如：
1. Take turns to ask

2. The three men

3. We took turns at
driving the car. (= first she did it , then I did it , then she , etc. ) 我们轮流开车。（=先她开，然后我，然后又是她，等等）（摘自《朗文英汉双解词典》第1464页，外语教学与研究出版社出版发行，1992年5月第1版）
4. She and Mark took
turns at feeding it. 她和马克轮流给它喂食。（同上，第1422页）
