spend money for something 错了吗
《朗文当代高级英语辞典》第6版指出:“You spend money on something可以用spend money on something表示在某事物上花钱:I don’t spend much on clothes. I don’t spend much for clothes.”
但是,因为 spend money on something 的用法更常见,所以,如果在考试中遇到从spend money for something和spend money on something选择其一时,最好选择后者,否则,容易被判为错误而扣分。
(1)He spent fifty cents for a package of Egyptian cigarettes. (A Dictionary of Current English Usage, 1985)他花了5角钱买了一包埃及香烟。

He has spent two yuan on sweets.
He has spent two yuan in sweets.
He has spent two yuan for sweets.
She spends most of her money on books .

on , for , in
