“It takes about one hour and ten minutes.”

《初中英语预备课程》(Starter(译林出版社20137月第220206月第8次印刷) P482 It takes about one hour and ten minutes.page35

It takes us about one hour and ten minutes to get there.

It takes about one hour and ten minutes.”

P35My grandparents live on a farm. It is no far from our city. My parents and I oftentravel there by train. It takes about one hour and ten minutes.

It takes us about one hour and ten minutes to get there.”

大家应该有自己的判断:在上面的语言环境中,只能用“It takes about one hour and ten minutes.” It often takes my parents and me about one hour and ten minutes to travel there by train.

29  [transitive, no passive, intransitive] to need or require a particular amount of time 需要……

~ sth    The journey to the airport takes about half an hour. (笔者注:It takes about one hour and ten minutes.

~ sth to do sth   It takes about half an hour to get to the airport.

That cut is taking a long time to heal.

~ sb sth (to do sth)  It took her three hours to repair her bike.

It'll take her time to recover from the illness.

~ sth for sb to do sth   It'll take time (= take a long time) for her to recover from the illness. (笔者注:该句型可以直接转化成上面的句型,即It'll take time for her to recover from the illness.=It'll take her time to recover from the illness.

602 take time

We can use take to say how much time we need to do something. Five structures are common.

1 The person is the subject:

 person + take + time + infinitive

I took three hours to get home last night.

She takes all day to get out of the bathroom.

They took two hours to unload the ferry.

2 The activity is the subject:

activity + take (+ person) + time

The drive took me three hours. Gardening takes a lot of time.

Unloading the ferry took them two hours.(笔者注:It takes about one hour and ten minutes.

3 The object of the activity is the subject:

object of activity + take (+ person) + infinitive

The ferry took them two hours to unload.

This house will take all week to clean.

4 Preparatory it is the subject:

It + take (+ person) + time + infinitive

It took me three hours to get home last night.

It takes ages to do the shopping.

5 Before/until is used:

It + take (+ person) + time + before/until.

It took us six weeks before/until we got the house clean.

It took a long time before/until she felt comfortable in her new school.

 从以上可知:“It takes about one hour and ten minutes.
